Free training for assessors

Building for Life is a great tool for assessing housing schemes. CABE is supporting local authorities to use Building for Life in the planning process. In evaluating proposed developments local authorities can make a big difference to the quality of the neighbourhoods being developed in their area.
CABE is committed to training at least one Building for Life assessor in each local authority in England by 2011.
Building for Life will also be used by councils to report to government on the improvements in housing design quality.
That’s why we’ve been inviting local authorities to nominate people to train to conduct assessments and receive official accreditation from Building for Life.
